A busy month ahead……

Well the promotion board was a success…now I get 2 weeks in the heat at Fort Hood with people yelling at me all the time and nit-picking everything I do at the Primary Leadership Development Course. At least if all goes well and the minimum points needed for promotion stay low then I will get promoted to Sgt on June 1st. I am trying as hard as I can to make it for the wedding but a) getting days off of work to come home is hard and b) I don't get back from Fort Hood until the morning of the 20th anyways….they told me even if they don't let me go back that weekend then at least I will be able to visit home for Memorial Day. Also I will be back from June 19th to July 2nd. It will be a lot easier to get back more often now that I finally broke down and got a car.

We would love to have you for the wedding, but totally understand if you can’t make it. At any rate, I am glad you will be able to come home. It is well that we will be able to see you regardless of whether it’s at the wedding or not.
And hopefully you’ll make sgt! That’s awesome!

Wow! Congrats on the promotion board success! Sounds like Fort Hood will be less than fun, hope that all goes well though. It’s nice having a car too.
